WHEN is the right time to hire a VA?

So, you’ve seen lots of social media posts about how life-changing it can be to hire a Virtual Assistant, you’ve read reviews from other business owners and now you’re reading this blog...

But you're still not sure when the right time to hire a VA is. Well, here are six signs that the time is right.

1. Your inbox has staged a revolution!

As soon as you clear one email, ten more magically appear. If you find yourself drowning in your emails, it’s time to bring in some help. A VA can help with filtering, organising, responding to enquiries and flagging high-priority things that really matter.

2. Your to-do list is always growing and never shrinking.

It’s time to delegate those administrative tasks, appointment scheduling, research and other time-consuming tasks to a skilled VA. They will help you take over some of your least favourite tasks to help you avoid burnout and give your mental health a break.

3. You’re a Jack of all trades.

Just because you can do all of your bookkeeping, content creation, graphic design, social media management, admin tasks and keep your business up and running, doesn’t mean you should. A VA team with a specialised skill set can bring their expertise and leave you free to focus on what you do best AND have time for a social life too.

4. Sleep? What’s that?

If you’re often found, phone in-hand past 9:00pm and back again at 5:00am, that is a definite sign that you need some extra support. Leave the data entry, customer support (and any other tasks that keep you up at night) to a VA.

5. Your family and friends are complaining they never see you.

Running your own business is, of course, time consuming and you want to dedicate everything to making it successful, but having a healthy work-life balance is crucial. If you’re constantly being told off by your friends for missing dinner reservations or regularly late for appointments, then this is your sign to hire a VA.

6. You want to see your business grow!

Have you ever heard of the Pareto Principle? Also known as 'the 80/20 rule,' it states that 80% of results come from 20% of actions.

In terms of business, an example would be that 80% of your revenue comes from 20% of your work. So, this principle requires and enables us to spot the few important things that are happening and ignore the mass of unimportant things.

Essentially, if we spend a short amount of time on what is really important, this will yield greater results than focusing on as many things as possible.

A great way to do this is by taking advantage of virtual assistants. By sending work their way, you can free up more time, energy and budget to focus on your business growth. Virtual Assistants are more than just helping hands, they’re growth catalysts for your business.
