You’ve finally admitted defeat and realised that hiring a VA is what the 'cool kids' are doing. But, do you hire a team of Virtual Assistants OR a solo VA?
Firstly, well done!
Recognising you need help is a trait of a great leader!
Secondly, you’ve come to the right place. We’re here to tell you the difference between a solo VA and a team of VA’s and to help you figure out which is best for you.
What’s the difference?
A solo VA is usually a freelance professional who can offer specific VA services. Your contract will be with the individual and they will work alone to complete the tasks you give them.
A Virtual Assistant team will have a group of experienced professionals to help. Each person is sourced and interviewed to ensure they have the right qualifications and experience for the job, to ensure support for clients is to a high standard.
Benefits of working with a team of Virtual Assistants
There are so many benefits to working with a team of Virtual Assistants, but we’ve filtered it down to five:
1. A support network.
A team, of course, comes with a hub of knowledge when you need it. If your regular VA doesn’t have an answer to your query or the exact skillset to meet any of your needs, it’s likely another VA will. This flexibility allows you to get the right support for your business as it changes and grows.
2. You get back up when you need it.
When you hire a VA, you’re looking for support you can count on. If your regular VA is on holiday or unwell, a fellow VA can step in to provide cover. In these circumstances, any time spent on handovers are met by the VA, not the client. Alternatively, if you are unwell or on holiday, a team of VA’s can take on more work as and when needed.
3. You get the best VA for you.
After an initial discovery call, you will get matched to the VA who has the skillset and availability to support you and your needs. You can specify unique requirements and there will be a VA that can help. If the team cannot accommodate or help with what you need, they find a solution or ‘recruit to suit’. This takes the time and hassle away from you, looking for additional support.
4. A simple, centralised process.
Our Director, Victoria Maynard, manages the overall relationship with each client and ensures you get the support you need. All clients are assigned a lead VA who will work with you for the majority of the time. Then, if you need extra support in different areas, such as a graphic design, this can easily be arranged for you. When it comes to invoicing, no separate invoices or extra admin is required, regardless of how many team members you work with. Saving you the paperwork, time and headache of juggling multiple bills.
5. Pay for what you need.
There is no obligation to use a VA for a certain amount of hours per month, you will only pay for the amount of support you need for a certain month. AND you won’t pay above the odds! VAs are freelancers, so you only pay for the work they provide for you and there is no minimum spend.
Does this sound like something you NEED in your life?
